Here is a little information about us. Low Key Angling is located in Key West, Florida. This is a guide service that was created to bring great experiences and excellent customer service to our clients. We have the knowledge and the tools to provide the trip of a lifetime to our anglers. Whether you want to challenge yourself sight fishing on the flats or go after many different species in the backcountry, we have you covered.
Captain Brian Stilley
Captain Brian Stilley owns and operates Low Key Angling. He is a Florida native who has fished all over the waters of his home state. Some of his favorites include Key West, Palm Beach County, The Tampa Bay Area, Pensacola, and the Lower Keys.
Low Key focuses mainly on inshore fishing in and around Key West, FL, specializing in backcountry and flats fishing. Primary targets include Tarpon, Permit, and Bonefish. Captain Brian is an easy going guy that focuses on creating the best experience for his clients to provide a lifelong memory.
The Boat
Low Key Angling is proud to partner with Cayo Boatworks for our boats. They are hand crafted out of the finest materials right here in the state of Florida. The skiff we are using now is a 2018 Cayo Boatworks 180. This skiff is 18′ long and very stable for a flats skiff. This boat is affectionately known as “The Pickle” because of the green color.
This boat is powered by a Mercury Marine 115 Pro XS fourstroke motor. This combination provides speed, draft, and reliability on the water. Our boats are only powered by Mercury Marine outboard motors.
Cayo 180 Skiff
The Flats Fishing Machine
The skiff was built new for Captain Brian in 2018. This boat is designed to take anglers onto the flats in the lower Keys to hunt for the shallow water sport fish that the Keys are known for. You can get in the skinny water and sight fish permit, bonefish, and tarpon. The skiff is used for technical trips and is limited to two anglers max.
